Dear Colleagues,

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Urge your legislators to co-sponsor the Positive Aging Act (H.R.2629/S.1116). This legislation would designate an Office of Older Adult Mental Health Services in the Administration on Aging (AoA) to provide grants for mental health screening and treatment services for older adults in both urban and rural communities. We are encouraging the Congress to include the Positive Aging Act in the bill to reauthorize the Older Americans Act, which is currently being drafted.

TAKE ACTION: Please e-mail your Senators and Representative and urge them to co-sponsor this important legislation. Also, request that your legislators contact the Chairmen and Ranking Members of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce and Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions and ask them to include the Positive Aging Act in the bill to reauthorize the Older Americans Act.

Thank you for your support as we work together to promote the Positive Aging Act.

Warm regards, Diane
