INFO: Survey Request, Mental Capacity and Limited Guardianship, Law and Aging

I am writing to you regarding a research project on mental capacity and determination of limited guardianship being conducted by Philadelphia Corporation for Aging, the Area Agency on Aging in the City and County of Philadelphia. The purpose of the project is to use the experience of mental health and legal professionals to develop guidelines, to be used by judges in such cases, for selecting a reliable evaluation tool and identifying the appropriate professionals to administer it.

We are sending this survey to legal and mental health professionals across the country. Please take the time to fill it out and share your valuable experience with us. All information will be kept strictly confidential.

Philadelphia Corporation for Aging is a non-profit organization with over a 30 year history of providing a wide range of services for older Philadelphians and adults with disabilities.

The project is being funded by the Borchard Foundation Center on Law and Aging, a well established foundation dedicated to improving the lives of older adults by funding research projects focused on the intersection of law and aging issues.
