JOBS: Two positions at Iowa State University

Iowa State University, College of Human Sciences, Department of Human Development and Family Studies Openings

 

The Department of Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) in the College of Human Sciences at Iowa State University invites applications for two tenured/tenure track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, beginning August 2013. The areas of expertise are open but candidates whose research and teaching is in the area of research methodology (advanced quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods), life-span development, and family health are particularly encouraged to apply. The department seeks innovative and enthusiastic colleagues who will enhance synergies in the department, who are dedicated to high quality research and teaching, and who are interested in joining a dynamic multidisciplinary faculty. Position responsibilities include maintaining a strong program of research, seeking external funding, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising graduate students, and contributing to the university’s land-grant mission.

 

Successful candidates will possess an earned doctorate in Human Development and Family Studies or a related field. An appointment at the rank of Associate Professor will require an established record of scholarly publications and external funding appropriate for a research university dedicated to its land-grant mission.
