INFO: Nat Alz Plan March Advisory Council Meeting and Draft Plan

The next meeting of the Advisory Council on Alzheimer's Research, Care, and Services during which they will discuss the draft National Plan http://aspe.hhs.gov/daltcp/napa/NatlPlan.shtml   will be a teleconference on March 14th (more info below).

APA will attend the call and also make a public comment (focused on research).  Patricia Kobor, Senior Science Policy Analyst in the APA Science Directorate and I will draft another round of APA written comments (on the entire plan). This time we will provide specific edits to the text of the draft document along with a rationale for the change.

Individuals and groups can attend the teleconference, make comments during the public comments component of the call, and of course make (more) comments on the draft of the plan. Thanks to those who did this last time (psychologists are mentioned now, but much more improvement needed) and we once again would once again encourage you to make comments and to also share with us your comments and suggestions for specific edits to the text to inform the APA comments. We would need your comments by March 8th.

Here is the information from NAPA:
