The Memory and Cognitive Aging Lab at the University of Missouri-Columbia,
under the supervision of Moshe Naveh-Benjamin, is looking to hire a
post-doctoral research fellow to conduct research on memory and aging and
memory and attention. The position would be for 1-2 years, and start on
September 1, 2012 (there is a possibility for an earlier start).
The position involves planning, designing and conducting studies investigating
age-related changes in memory, as well as the effects of divided attention
on memory. There are also opportunities to conduct neuroimaging studies
related to these issues in the Departmental Brain Imaging Center. The
position will also involve mentoring graduate and undergraduate students in the lab.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Psychology, or equivalent degree from a
foreign institution, by September 2012. Strong background in experimental
methods and statistics is essential. Previous experience with any of the
following is desirable, but not required: E-prime, Matlab programming,
multi-level modeling.
