Jobs: Three Tenure Track Positions at Iowa State University

Dear Division 20 Colleagues,

The Department of Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) in the College of Human Sciences at Iowa State University invites applications for three tenured/tenure track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate or Professor rank beginning August 2012. One position is in family finance; the areas of expertise of the other two positions are open. The department seeks innovative and enthusiastic colleagues who will enhance synergies in the department, who are dedicated to high quality research and teaching, and who are interested in joining a dynamic multidisciplinary faculty. Position responsibilities include maintaining a strong program of research, seeking external funding, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising graduate students, and contributing to the university’s land-grant mission.

Successful candidates will possess an earned doctorate in Human Development and Family Studies or a related field. An appointment at the rank of Associate Professor will require an established record of scholarly publications and external funding appropriate for a research university dedicated to its land-grant mission. Appointment at the rank of Professor will in addition require demonstration of nationally and/or internationally recognized scholarship.

All application materials must be submitted electronically at www.iastatejobs.com. Once on the website search by vacancy ID #110809 (family finance) or ID#110808 (open areas) and apply by clicking “Apply for this vacancy.” You will be asked to attach a letter of application addressing your qualifications for the position as well as complete curriculum vitae. For further information, contact Dr. Cynthia Fletcher (cynthia@iastate.edu) or Dr. Daniel Russell (drussell@iastate.edu), search committee co-chairs.

Review of applications will begin October 15, 2011 and continue until the positions are filled. Iowa State University is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
