JOBS: Loyola College, Clinical/Counseling Psychology

Hello everyone, this is a clinical position, in addition to the Applied/Experimental position at Loyola that was posted earlier.

THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY AT LOYOLA COLLEGE IN MARYLAND invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Psychology. The appointment will begin September 2009 in the area of Clinical or Counseling Psychology. Loyola College offers the B.A., M.S., and Psy.D. degrees in psychology. Responsibilities include: teaching undergraduate and graduate core and advanced courses, supervision at the Loyola Clinical Centers, student advising, directing student research projects, serving on university committees, and continuation of personal scholarship/research. Required Qualifications: The successful candidate must possess: (1) an earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology; (2) a license or license-eligibility in Maryland; (3) expertise and the ability to teach some of the following types of courses—assessment supervision at the Loyola Clinical Centers, cognitive assessment, clinical personality assessment, an integrative assessment/report writing course, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and research methodology; (4) demonstrated potential for establishing a strong, productive research program (area of interest is open); and (5) an awareness of and interest in the educational mission of Jesuit higher education (e.g., academic excellence, diversity, social justice).
