CONFERENCES: APA 20/12-II Social Event Update

We are getting closer to the APA convention, so it's time to plan your social calendars for evening events. The combined div 20 and 12-2 social hour is scheduled for Friday night, August 5th, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in the atrium of Washington's oldest and most historic bar, Old Ebbitt Grill, 675 15th Street, NW, located near the White House. (I understand it is accessible via subway). The cost is $20 per person to cover appetizers and rental space. During the cocktail hour there is a cash bar. Special entertainment is scheduled for 7:00 pm when I will interview Dr. C. Cameronkowsky, a 1,000 year old psychologist who will give us his secrets for cognitive and physical health in late life, very late life, in fact.

We have about 40 people signed up, but if you have not yet done so, please make a check out to Erin Emery ($20 per person) who has graciously agreed to collect for both D 20 and 12-2 members and their guests. Make your reservations by July 25th.

Please send checks with notation of which division(s) you are a member of to: Erin E. Emery, Ph.D., Rush University Medical Center; Dept of Behavioral Sciences, 710 S. Paulina Street, Suite 431, Chicago, IL 60612.

Dinner is NOT included in this event. Please make reservations on your own for your group. Old Ebbitt Grill's number is 202-347-4801. The link below will show you other dining options in the nearby area.

Please join us on August 5th for a memorable social hour with your colleagues and friends.
