Subject: SAMHSA Advisory--WEBCHAT TO DISCUSS CHANGES TO NATIONAL REGISTRY OF EVIDENCE-BASED PROGRAMS

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) will host a web chat to answer questions about the March 14 Federal Register notice on changes to the National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs (NREPP).

SAMHSA expects the new NREPP to serve as a "decision support system" to help state and community-based organizations select programs and practices that meet their needs. The new protocols and procedures outlined in the notice will help reduce the significant lag-time between the generation of new scientific knowledge and its application by community-based prevention and treatment programs and providers.

Media and other interested parties are invited to participate.
