JOBS: Western Kentucky University, Psychology Department - Clinical Psychology & Research Assistant Professor Positions

The Department of Psychology at Western Kentucky University invites applications for two positions to begin August 15, 2013. 

 

Position 1: Clinical Psychology requires an earned doctorate (or completion by August 15, 2013) in clinical psychology from an APA-approved program and APA-approved internship. The area of specialization is open. Duties, include the development of a productive research program that engages students, graduate and undergraduate teaching, supervision of master’s theses, participation in the training of master’s-level practitioners, and supervision of practicum and internships. Candidates are expected to become licensed in Kentucky and those who are or can readily become license eligible are especially invited to apply.

 

Position 2: Research Assistant Professor (RAP) in cognitive neuroscience. The successful applicant will have an earned doctorate, research experience using ERP/EEG measures, and a strong potential for obtaining extramural support. This is a full-time, 12-month research position supported jointly for 2 years by the Department of Psychology and the Office of Research. There are no teaching responsibilities in this position, but there is an opportunity to teach occasional classes if desired. Continuation beyond 2 years is contingent on the RAP obtaining grant funding to cover salary and research costs. It is expected that the RAP will collaborate with and/or assist Psychology Department faculty who want to incorporate ERP/EEG measures into their research. The Department has an ERP lab with Electrical Geodesics 128-channel dense-array EEG/ERP equipment with integrated eye tracking system.
