Description: The Biobehavioral and Behavioral Processes (BBBP) Integrated Review Group (IRG), Division of Clinical and Population-Based Studies (DCPS), Center for Scientific Review (CSR) is seeking a qualified scientist, with doctoral level training and research experience to join a team of Scientific Review Administrators (SRA) to help shape the future of scientific review. An SRA in the BBBP IRG is responsible for the initial administrative, scientific and technical review of NIH research grant applications pertaining to the many areas of biobehavioral and behavioral science, including learning, cognition, perception, communication, psychopathology, developmental disabilities, aging and/or motor function. Therefore, applicants will need specialized experience in one or more of these specific areas. As a Health Scientist Administrator (Scientific Review Administrator) for the BBBP IRG, your duties include nominating consultants, participating with consultants in Study Section meetings and project site visits, attending seminars and symposia, and visiting universities, research grantees and other government agencies to promote and explain the purpose and objectives of the NIH research programs, policies and procedures.
