WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY, DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY invites applications for a tenure-track position (we expect the position to be at the assistant professor level but it is open to exceptional senior applicants) in our Cognitive Psychology Program. This appointment requires a Ph.D. degree with formal training in cognitive psychology and is to become effective (position(s) subject to administrative approval) in late August, 2009. Interdisciplinary overlap with one of the other research and training emphases (e.g., behavioral and cognitive neuroscience, clinical, developmental, social) in the department will also be viewed positively. Successful applicants are expected to maintain or establish a funded research program. Normal teaching load is two courses per semester and involves both undergraduate and graduate instruction. The university is located in a very large metropolitan area with a rich cultural life. This position is contingent upon final approval by the University.
