This group is to be composed of up to 15 members representing broad constituencies of stake holders in health care decision making and policy making. Representatives from providers, consumer organizations, third party payers, academic researchers and others are sought. The group is tasked with providing input on research gaps and identifying questions that need to be addressed, implementation issues for Effective Health Care reports and findings, and other related matters. The group is also asked to provide feedback and guidance on reports and the program and its use in quality improvement.
APA would like to nominate members to participate in this process. Ideal nominees will have a strong understanding of the effectiveness and translational research in health care, understand the needs and concerns of providers and be knowledgeable in matters related to both physical and mental health. APA would like to ensure that the role of behavior in changing health conditions and maintaining overall health is appropriately understood and represented in the work products of the group.
