Assistant Professor in Psychology (Developmental)
The Department of Psychology at The University of Tampa is seeking candidates for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 2012.
Candidates must have interest in and/or experience teaching courses in both adulthood and aging and child psychology, both of which include a service learning component. Preference will be given to those who have expertise in adulthood and aging. Additional teaching responsibilities include general psychology and introductory research methods and statistics. Candidates will have the opportunity to teach and/or develop an additional upper-level course in development. Teaching responsibilities include three, 4-hour courses each semester. Other responsibilities will include an active program of scholarship, standard student advising and committee service. Preference will be given to candidates with interest in and/or experience with mentoring undergraduate research.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in developmental psychology. College or university teaching experience and demonstrated scholarly activity in the field are preferred.
