The area "Applied Psychology: Life-Management," Dept. of Psychology, University of Zurich (Switzerland), headed by Alexandra M. Freund, has a two-year postdoctoral fellowship position in the research program on development of motivational processes across adulthood and their role for successful development. The position is open to start in October 2007. Salary depends on level of experience and ranges between 65'000 and 80'000 Swiss Francs per year.
Our research is concerned with processes of successful development across adulthood and particularly with the specific developmental challenges in middle adulthood. The postdoc is expected to join the ongoing projects, contribute to conceptualize, design, and direct empirical studies, analyze data, and writing up results for publications. The position does not require any teaching responsibilities.
Competitive candidates will have a Ph.D. in developmental or social psychology or a related field, a strong research background and interest in pursuing an academic career.
